Who we are and what we do
Privacy Partners Limited is a company registered in England (No: 15513607). Registered and trading address at 50 Princes Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 1RJ. Privacy Partners is a business that provides consultancy, support and advice relating to data protection for businesses and organisations.
Our role
We are the data controller of the data we process. That means we are responsible for deciding how we collect, use and store information about you. We are registered with the Information Commissioners Office with the number ZB680984.
How we collect and use your information
General:
We use your personal data for the legitimate business interests of providing a consultancy service. Services include data protection, including compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws and regulations.
Enquiries:
If you make contact with Privacy Partners to enquire about using our services, we will use data that identifies you, and helps us deal with your enquiry and respond to you effectively. We do this for our legitimate business interests.
Selling our services:
We may contact you by email when we believe our services will be of interest. This will be company business-to-business only and we will use our legitimate interests. All emails will always provide the option to elect to opt out of any future communication. If we contact you as a sole trader it will be with your consent.
Orders:
We will use the minimum personal information required to manage your order and dealings with Privacy Partners. This will include contact details to process the order (contract) and deal with your organisation. We will also use the minimum personal information required to invoice you and manage payment. This is to perform our contract with you. Where we are required to process additional personal information to provide our services to your business, this will be for our legitimate business interests.
Who we share your data with
Privacy Partners will never sell or share your personal information to any third parties without your full knowledge and consent.
We share data with our accountants who are based in the United Kingdom, and do not transfer data outside of the United Kingdom.
We use Microsoft and Xero to manage our business requirements including your personal data. This means your data may be stored on servers outside of the United Kingdom. Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK, it will only be transferred to countries that have been identified as providing adequate protection for UK data, or to a third party where approved transfer mechanisms are in place to protect your personal data.
Data Storage and Retention
We only keep personal data for as long as it remains necessary to process it, and where we continue to have a lawful basis.
Your rights
Under data protection legislation, in certain circumstances you have the following rights over the processing of your personal data as described in this notice:
- right to be informed about how your data is used;
- right of access to your personal data;
- right to correction or rectification of your data;
- right to request deletion of your data; and
- the right to data portability.
